Summary
The Autophagy iOS app collects no personal data. Every session you log (fasting, exercise, cold, sauna, breathing) is stored on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to our servers because we have no servers that hold user data. We don't use third-party analytics inside the app, no tracking SDKs, no advertising networks.
The marketing website at autophagy.fit uses Google Analytics for basic traffic measurement (which pages people read, how they got here). That's it.
The iOS app
What we store
The app stores the following on your device only, via Apple's SwiftData framework:
- Your logged sessions: fasting periods, exercise, cold immersion, sauna, Reset Breathing rounds, and any notes you attach
- Your preferences: daily target, reminder time, appearance choice, founder-pricing reservation status
None of this leaves the device. There is no Autophagy account, no sign-in, no sync to a remote server. If you delete the app, the data is gone.
What we don't collect
- No email address, name, phone number, or any other identifying information
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers
- No HealthKit data in v1. HealthKit integration is planned for v2 and will be opt-in with the standard iOS permission prompt
- No analytics events or usage telemetry from inside the app
- No data sold or shared with third parties
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder in Settings, the app schedules a local iOS notification at your chosen time. The notification is generated and delivered entirely on your device. We don't operate a push-notification server.
Content tab
The in-app content library loads articles from autophagy.fit using Apple's WKWebView. When you open an article, your device makes a standard HTTP request to autophagy.fit, the same as visiting the site in a browser. That request is logged by Cloudflare (who host the site) in standard server access logs. We don't link those logs back to individuals.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read, where visitors come from, and roughly how the site is performing. Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser and reports aggregated traffic data back to us. We don't view or store individual visitor identities.
If you'd rather not be counted, install any standard ad/tracker blocker, or set your browser to send the Do Not Track signal. Google Analytics doesn't enforce that signal but most blockers do.
Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare keeps standard server access logs (IP address, request URL, user agent, timestamp) for the purposes of operating their service and protecting against abuse. We don't read these logs.
What we don't do on the website
- No advertising or ad networks
- No data sold to third parties
- No personalised tracking beyond standard analytics
- No cookies set by Autophagy itself, only by Google Analytics
Your rights
Because we collect no personal data in the app, there's nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete on request. If you want to remove all your app data, delete the app from your phone.
For website traffic data collected through Google Analytics, you can opt out using Google's official opt-out browser extension.
Children
Autophagy is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information through any of our services (we can't see what that would be, since we don't collect anything), please email us and we'll review it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what data the app or website handles, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top revised. Material changes will also be announced inside the app on next launch.
