Effective 10 June 2026.

Summary

Everything you log in the Autophagy app (fasting, exercise, cold, sauna, Reset Breathing) is stored on your device only, and any Apple Health data the app reads stays on your device too. We have no servers that hold your health or session data.

The app uses two analytics services that collect only anonymous, aggregate data and never your health or session data: TelemetryDeck for usage analytics, and Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app installs and the performance of our advertising. Neither uses your advertising identifier (IDFA), and the app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The marketing website at autophagy.fit uses Google Analytics for basic traffic measurement.

The iOS app

What we store

The app stores the following on your device only, via Apple's SwiftData framework:

None of this leaves the device. There is no Autophagy account, no sign-in, no sync to a remote server. If you delete the app, the data is gone.

Apple Health

With your permission, the app reads heart rate variability, resting heart rate, VO2 max, body mass and sleep from Apple Health, only to show you your own recovery markers and how they line up with your practice. This access is read-only, the data is not uploaded anywhere, and it stays on your device. You can revoke it at any time in the iOS Health settings.

Analytics and measurement

The app uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous, aggregate usage analytics, and Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app installs and in-app events, so we can see which features are used and how well our advertising performs. Neither service receives your health or session data, neither uses your advertising identifier (IDFA), and the app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown. Install measurement uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork.

What we don't collect

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder in Settings, the app schedules a local iOS notification at your chosen time. The notification is generated and delivered entirely on your device. We don't operate a push-notification server.

Content tab

The in-app content library loads articles from autophagy.fit using Apple's WKWebView. When you open an article, your device makes a standard HTTP request to autophagy.fit, the same as visiting the site in a browser. That request is logged by Cloudflare (who host the site) in standard server access logs. We don't link those logs back to individuals.

The website (autophagy.fit)

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read, where visitors come from, and roughly how the site is performing. Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser and reports aggregated traffic data back to us. We don't view or store individual visitor identities.

If you'd rather not be counted, install any standard ad/tracker blocker, or set your browser to send the Do Not Track signal. Google Analytics doesn't enforce that signal but most blockers do.

Cloudflare

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare keeps standard server access logs (IP address, request URL, user agent, timestamp) for the purposes of operating their service and protecting against abuse. We don't read these logs.

What we don't do on the website

Your rights

Because we collect no personal data in the app, there's nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete on request. If you want to remove all your app data, delete the app from your phone.

For website traffic data collected through Google Analytics, you can opt out using Google's official opt-out browser extension.

Children

Autophagy is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information through any of our services (we can't see what that would be, since we don't collect anything), please email us and we'll review it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what data the app or website handles, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top revised. Material changes will also be announced inside the app on next launch.
